PLEASE FULL VIEW! The small size takes out a lot of the details I worked so hard to put in :(

Anywhoo... yet another drawing of Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand fame. I know I've drawn him before.. yadda yadda.. I can't help that he's an interesting subject! ^^;

Plus.. it's been yeaaaaaaars... (10? 12?) since I've copied a photo. I don't like to do it because it never turns out EXACT so it drives me a little bit insane. It also takes a long time to do because I nitpick. This still isn't perfect, nor can it be because I'm not a photorealist (aka Chuck Close *swoon*)

Um.... pencil (lots of different hardnesses) on my usual paper. Ungodly amount of hours went into this over 2 days. Someone want to send some character ideas to me? lol.

The photo was publicity from a Russian site.

that after freakin 10, 12 years is absurdly AMAAZING woman! seriously i love the shading and the drawing itself ... done very well, the coloring on his hair light and dark strands showing clearly the different shades to his hair. His shirt and the shadowswhich fall under his neck ... is very nice and realistic. Great Work!! :D

WOW This is absolutely amazing Tara. I can only imagine how the hair had to be a pain to draw. It's everywhere shaded and all. Awesome job! ^__^
